Veterinary staff stay late. They fill every role in the hospital. They grieve patients alongside families. They foster, adopt, and carry the weight of loss home—while still caring for their own families.

 

They are regularly met with blame, accusations, and verbal abuse.

 

The veterinary profession has one of the highest suicide rates in medicine. Each loss is not shocking—it is devastating, and tragically understandable.
